Kate Kirkwood offers speaking, project management, training and consultation in a variety of business settings and topics. Clients include large and small businesses, entrepreneurs, government and non profit agencies. We specialize in small business and home business success; as well as lead paint and other healthy homes projects. We will consult with property owners who need to rid your properties of lead paint hazards, parents who wonder if their children might be lead poisoned, schools and daycares who need information about lead poisoning, individuals who need to be trained for lead paint abatement or lead safe renovation. This is the one day EPA/HUD lead paint safety certification required of general renovation contractor who disturb paint in a home or "child occupied facility" built before 1978. Your certification expires after 5 years and you must take a refresher class. The initial class is a full 8 hour day, and the refresher is a 4 hour class. You are certified when you leave the class. Also called RRP or Renovate, Repair and Paint
This is the one day EPA/HUD dust sampling technician training that can be used for 3rd party clearance testing on HUD funded renovation (RRP) projects. You are certified when you leave the class. To check out available classes and register click here
A contractor can take a 4 day class and be certified as either a supervisor or a contractor. After the class they must take a State test and pay for a state license of $125-$300 before they will be certified by the State of NH. If you want to work in other States, although we don't offer the training, give us a call or send an email and we will help you find the right agency.
In NH, a contractor can take a 3 day class and be certified as a lead abatement worker. The worker must be supervised by a lead abatement Contractor or Supervisor and cannot be left alone on the job. After they pass the class, workers must pay a $75 license fee to be certified by the State of NH.

Do you have Lead Paint in your house or your apartment? We can obtain a complete inspection by a NH State Certified Risk Assessor/Lead Inspector and provide you with a report. This will satisfy the State if your poperty is "under order" for lead abatement. This could get you a discount on your insurance bill.
